This Privacy Policy explains the practices regarding the collection, processing, and storage of personal data through the mobile applications Navigo, Araç Takip Pro, Araç Takip Red, and Mest Araç Takip (collectively referred to as the “Application”) developed and published by Mest Yazılım ve Bilişim Teknolojileri (“Company”, “we”, “us”).

Vehicle location data:

Real-time and historical location information collected through GPS devices installed in vehicles (latitude, longitude, speed, direction).

Device location data (optional):

With your permission, the Application may access your mobile device location to display your position on the map and to help you find the nearest vehicle.

2.3 Device and Technical Information

  • Device model and operating system version
  • Application version
  • Push notification token
  • IP address
  • Unique device identifiers

2.4 Usage Data

  • In-app interactions (pages viewed, features used)
  • Session duration
  • Error and crash reports

2.5 Notification Data

3. Methods of Data Collection

  • Stop monitoring: Tracking stop transitions for public transport and service vehicles

5.1 Service Providers

  • Expo (Expo Application Services): Push notification delivery and application distribution
  • Google Firebase (FCM): Android push notification infrastructure
  • Apple Push Notification Service (APNs): iOS push notification infrastructure
  • Map services: Map visualization and location services

These service providers may access data only to provide services on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.

5.2 Legal Obligations

Your data may be shared if required by law, court orders, or requests from authorized public authorities.

5.3 Customer Account Structure

The Application is used by corporate customers for fleet management.

Vehicle location data and trip information may be viewed by authorized users associated with the relevant customer account.

6. Use of Location Data

Our Application uses location data in the following ways:

6.1 Vehicle Location (GPS Device)

GPS tracking devices physically installed in vehicles transmit vehicle location data to our servers. This data is used for:

  • Real-time vehicle tracking
  • Viewing historical routes
  • Speed and movement reports
  • Geofence entry/exit alerts
  • Stop tracking and trip management

6.2 Mobile Device Location (Optional)

Your mobile device location is used only with your explicit permission and for the following purposes:

  • Displaying your current position on the map
  • Finding the nearest vehicle or stop

You may revoke location permissions at any time from your device settings.

7. Data Storage and Security

7.1 Data Retention Period

  • Account information: Stored as long as your account remains active
  • Vehicle location data: Stored according to the duration specified in the service agreement
  • Trip and report data: Stored according to applicable legal retention requirements
  • Log data: Stored for a limited time for technical troubleshooting

7.2 Security Measures

We implement the following measures to ensure the security of your data:

  • HTTPS/SSL encrypted data transmission
  • Secure server infrastructure
  • Access control and authorization mechanisms

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Application uses local storage and secure storage technologies to manage sessions and store user preferences. These technologies are necessary for the proper functioning of the Application.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Application is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18. If such a situation is identified, the data will be deleted immediately.

Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), you have the following rights:

  • To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose

As part of push notification services (Expo, Firebase, APNs), your data may be processed on servers located outside Türkiye.

Such transfers are carried out in accordance with Article 9 of KVKK and the data protection policies of the relevant service providers.

12. Third-Party Links

The Application uses third-party map services for map visualization.

These services are governed by their own privacy policies, and Mest Yazılım ve Bilişim Teknolojileri is not responsible for those policies.

13. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If significant changes are made, you will be notified through in-app notifications or via email.

The updated policy becomes effective on the date it is published.
